TLW 91: Change is (still) coming

Topic: Change is (still) coming

Articles for this Week:

Tip of the Week:

  • When conducting a virtual meeting, start with a quick reminder of ground rules/best practices. (example: say your name, speak into the phone, slow down, etc.)
  • If you are reserving a room for a training class, reserve it 30 minutes (or more!) ahead of time so the room is free for you to set up, get organized and greet participants.
  • Remember the three most important word to any facilitator: “I don’t know.”  Then follow those three words with either, “I will find out” or “what do you think?”
  • Have a scripted opening and closing to conversations ready in your “back pocket.”  Example of an opening: tell me your story: how did you…? What have you done before?  Why did you come here? Example of an conversation closer (especially helpful when someone keeps making the same point): so noted.
  • Be sure to test ALL your technology…even the low tech technology like markers.

We love to hear your feedback–leave a comment on the blog or send us an email!
